Komodo National Park Diving
Komodo National Park, the habitat of the komodo dragon includes three large islands, Komodo, Rinca, and Padar. Not only 3 large islands, but there are also several small islands, with an area of water and land of about 1,800 km2.
The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was created to protect the Komodo Dragon and its natural environment.
This vast conservation area also protects a range of different terrestrial species and is now well renowned for having one of the world’s most diverse marine habitats.
As we know, Indonesia is probably the best country to fulfill your dive Komodo dreams. One of the diving attractions in this underwater wonderland is undoubtedly Komodo National Park. There are millions of reef fish of various shapes, colors, and sizes, as well as plenty of large pelagic fish and sharks hunting in crystal clear water.
The gigantic manta rays drifting about underwater and the Komodo Dragons strolling on Komodo and Rinca islands are the attractions for most visitors to the park.

Komodo Diving Season
There are two seasons in Komodo National Park: rainy and dry. Despite the fact that there is a lot of conflicting information regarding diving conditions in Komodo, you can dive all year.
Late November is an excellent time to dive Komodo every day, and you will be surrounded by a large number of manta rays at Manta Point. August is a terrific month for diving since the weather and visibility are both excellent.
Wet Season diving Komodo
The wet season lasts from December to March, with a lot of rain in January and February, which isn’t always pleasant.
Surface conditions at northern diving locations might be challenging from January to March.
Manta Season is during the rainy season!! Manta rays may be seen all year, although the months of December to February are the best for seeing them, with up to ten around you.
Scuba Diving Komodo During the Dry Season
The dry season, which runs from April to November, is when the weather is at its finest.
Many people consider May/June and September/October to be the greatest diving months.
In the months of July and August, the waters in the south and Rinca can be boisterous.
Live onboard diving Komodo
The park’s attractions are slightly dispersed, making it an excellent place to explore by live onboard. Most of the things you’ll see may be seen on day excursions from Labuanbajo, and this choice is less expensive.
